Identity theft can wreak havoc on your finances, but a monitoring service can help you keep a closer eye on your personal information and credit accounts. LifeLock offers three plans, starting at $10.42 per month when billed annually. Depending on the plan, members may also receive reimbursement for certain losses related to identity theft and fraud.

In 2025, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) received more than 1.3 million reports of identity theft, highlighting how widespread the issue has become.

Identity theft protection services such as LifeLock monitor your personal information for suspicious activity and alert you to potential misuse. Depending on the service and plan, that can include someone using your Social Security number to open an account or apply for a loan, as well as your information appearing on the dark web.

These alerts can help you spot potential identity theft sooner and take steps to limit the damage. Some monitoring plans also track changes to your credit and financial accounts, giving you another way to catch suspicious activity early.

LifeLock monitors your personal and financial information so you can spot potential identity theft sooner. All three available plans include identity and Social Security number monitoring, dark web monitoring and alerts for potentially suspicious activity. Select plans add credit monitoring from multiple bureaus. Higher-tier plans also monitor activity tied to payday loans, utility accounts and social media accounts. If your information is compromised, a scam assistant can provide guidance and answer cyber safety questions.

Depending on your plan, you can get up to $3 million in identity theft coverage. The two top-tier plans also include up to $10,000 in scam reimbursement for eligible losses due to fraud.

Advanced: At $16.67 per month when billed annually, this mid-tier plan expands bank alerts to five accounts and monitors all three credit bureaus. It also includes up to $1.2 million in identity theft coverage and $5,000 in scam reimbursement.

Total: LifeLock's most comprehensive plan costs $29.17 per month when billed annually. It adds home title and investment account monitoring, along with up to $3 million in identity theft coverage and $10,000 in scam reimbursement.

Whether you're early in your career or have already spent decades building wealth, protecting your assets is always a smart idea. Each of LifeLock's plans is well worth the investment.
